one of the most expensive
[40%, sampled in China]
There was one thing I particularly liked about this brand: its name. It reminded me of Konstantin von Kaufman (Константин фон-Кауфман), the first Governor-General of Russian Turkestan in the 19th century.
Still, after all this time, thinking of Central Asia with its magical place names like Samarkand or Bukhara can instantly give me goosebumps.
Okay, so I didn’t go anywhere besides the local liquor store, and I got a bottle of Kauffman, which came in a nice box. Too bad I didn’t take a picture of the box, I was too intrigued by the bottle design, which sort of reminded me a of a giant-sized perfume bottle. I liked it, though.
Kauffman vodka is almost perfect
Time to talk about the vodka itself: I thought it had an extremely refined, smooth taste, but unlike the awesome Beluga Noble, it didn’t quite have that perfect aftertaste. There was just something lacking in the aroma.
Oh, and the price tag was a bit intimidating: 45€ for 700ml.
worth the money?
Don’t get me wrong, this is a very good vodka. It’s just too expensive. I think the best use for Kauffman vodka is as a gift for friends who enjoy luxurious things. Otherwise, you’re better off with a cheaper option.
